DCN statement on the conflict in Ukraine

Cllr Sam Chapman-Allen, Chairman of the District Councils’ Network said:

“The District Councils’ Network shares the horror and disgust felt by everyone in this country about the invasion of Ukraine. We wholeheartedly condemn this brazen attempt to overthrow the democracy of a sovereign nation. We stand in full support of the Ukrainian people at this exceptionally traumatic time.

“DCN councils are working with our partners in local government to provide whatever support is needed to refugees from the conflict and Ukrainian citizens and their families living in our communities.”
