Briefing note: Housing investments and recovery

This is the latest in our series of briefings on the recovery from Covid-19, the crucial role that districts can play, and our key asks from government. We believe an increase in social ohusing should be at the heart of the recovery, and ask government to reconsider how first homes might impact on supply of affordable and delivery of overall schemes, to bring forward investment in energy efficiency of existing housing, to continue to incentivise districts to deliver the homes the country needs, and ensure proactive and timely support from Homes England.
