Cllr Richard Wright has served as a district councillor since 2007 and has been leader at North Kesteven District Council since 2017.

Richard has extensive experience working in public service for the RAF, Ministry of Defence and Probation Services, and invests significant time and energy in support of his local community, especially the veteran community. He is also a Lincolnshire county councillor.

As North Kesteven leader, he made environment and climate considerations a key priority and set an ambitious path for carbon reduction, including through a retrofit programme that benefitted council tenants.

Richard has served as a DCN Executive board member and was previously our spokesperson on planning and growth. He is also a Local Government Association board member.
