Responding to £9 million in additional government funding announced for new garden towns, Cllr Mark Crane, DCN Lead for Stronger Economies, said:

“Across the country, districts are delivering ambitious, strategic housing projects. This locally targeted funding will help unlock significant garden settlement proposals and ensure the timely delivery of homes this country desperately needs.

“We now call on the Government to announce the outstanding Housing Infrastructure Fund bids so more district areas are empowered and able to get on with delivering more homes.”
